To lose weight, you MUST…
- Change your habits
- Change what you focus on
- Do things you don’t want to do – (like exercise)
- Be consistent
- Have a support system
- Make a plan – food and exercise
- Set goals – immediate, short-term and long-term
- Begin to dream about your future body and life
- Measure results on a weekly basis
- Reward yourself for successes along the way
- Believe in yourself
- Believe you are worthy
The process losing weight is very similar to building your business. Look at each of those tips above and apply them to your business. Think of what you need to do differently, what you need to focus on and what you results you desire. What tools and/or actions do you need or have to have in place to do what you do? For example, if you sell real estate, how are you finding your next buyer? Are you relying on ‘word of mouth’? Word of mouth is really a ‘chance’ happening and not a proactive approach. Instead, think differently and find a person that is targeting the same market. Begin forming relationships with others who are seeking the same prospect. That’s just one example. In the month of December, this is the perfect time to reflect on the year, what worked in your business and what could be working better. Take a proactive approach, make a game plan and change your habits. Doing so, ‘cuts the fat’ from your business and you have a lean machine that operates more efficiently and creates better results. Step on the ‘scale’ of your business and weigh how you are conducting business.

Your success is really determined by the small decisions you make to act. Those who have success in either losing weight or in their business, do so because they 1) make a decision that they are going to change their life and 2) take the necessary actions each day to make it happen. You can do more than you ever thought you were capable. Believe in yourself, get plugged into the system, stay connected, be focused and never quit!
