3 Lessons from a 90-yr old man…

This is a picture of me and my grandfather, Bill Balsamico on his 90th birthday.  I wish you had the privilege of meeting and knowing my “Pap”.  This “king of one-liners” also provided the foundation of who I am today.  I am forever grateful for his example and love.  Below are 3 life lessons I learned.

Family First
When your priorities are in order, your intentions will align with your actions that direct you to live your life  with integrity, honesty, character and core values for generations to come.
Go Slower and You’ll Go Further
Anything you do in life requires a solid foundation.  Take the time to learn and to do the right things the right way.   There are no short cuts that lead to long-term success.
Respect is not earned, it is Given
Respect is ‘given’ to those who have demonstrated its worthiness. When you are trying to ‘earn’ respect, you are asking for the respect.  Deserve the respect and it will be given to you.

I’ll miss you, Pap.

    Hi Linda,
I’m not sure if you remember me but my name is Kim Moretz and I believe we met at our first SOC Convention. I am a big fan of good posts and especially like this one. Learning from the older generation who have already experienced it is priceless. You are very fortunate to have heard it direct from someone as your grandfather.

Thank you for sharing these words of wisdom as well as others listed on your great site!

Take Care and Success To You,
    Kim
