I WON THE LOTTERY!! 

Do I have your attention?  Good!

On Friday, the Mega Millions Lotto Jackpot was the largest in its history!  $656 million!  Yet, believe it or not, that is not what (I believe) the BIG story is here.

What captured my attention more than the $$ is how everyone was talking about what they would do with the money.  Or, to put it in better terms … people were DREAMING!  This is what I heard people would do if they would win the lottery …

• Quit their job
• Pay off mortgage
• Pay off credit cards and school loans
• Golf, take a vacation and get a 2nd home
• Buy that dream sports car
• Donate to charity

EVERY day is the lottery my friends!

• You are a WINNER simply being alive and the PRIZE is each day.
• Choose your work or profession you want NOW and do what it takes to THRIVE not just survive.
• Earn the $$ you need to live in Financial Freedom, not to just pay your bills.
• Spend more TIME with those you love.

I have been a network marketing professional since 1994 and I am grateful for the lessons I have learned and continue to learn.  Here are just a few … enjoy!

• This business will work for anyone if you will work the business
• Time and perseverance are required
• Prepare yourself for rejection
• You don’t have to hate your life (or job) to join
• Fundamental goal is to sign up customers for the service (product) and inspire others to do the same
• You can not only become rich, but you become enriched
• The most common denominator in this business is the “desire to do something different with your life”
• Money will never make you happy, but neither will being broke
• Success is simple, not easy
• A level playing field more than any other business
• 80% of those you bring into the business won’t do very much
• The path of success is helping others succeed
• Residual income is the greatest form of income
• Time and financial independence is freedom

Knowing the truth, the value and the choices network marketing provides, in my opinion our profession is the best career choice for any and all!

The mind is a powerful thing.  It can be utilized in many great ways, taught many great things and also fooled very easily too.  There are many things you can be doing “in your mind” that make you think you are working your business, when in fact, you are not working at all.

The easy ones are …

• Spending too much time on Facebook.  This is an effective business building tool IF worked properly, but most people waste time on it rather than build relationships – that’s a whole other post!
• Email … another time waster and not business builder.  The #1 goal of most people with email is to ELIMINATE it!  Think about how you read your email …. ‘Glance, glance, glance, delete, delete, delete and delete!”  Email is necessary and used to communicate and if used properly can grow your business.
• “Talking” about your business with others who are already in your business.  Sure, a necessary thing to do is to collaborate with associates, but rule that out of your “active business building activities”.

The above are common sense, however many confuse the above with actual “working” business time and activities.  Think about what activities produces you income?  In my profession, what makes me MONEY is one of 3 primary activities:

1. Meeting someone NEW and scheduling an appointment
2. Conducting an appointment and sharing my company, product and opportunity
3. Making phone calls with my existing contacts to either a) schedule a first-time appointment or b) a follow-up appointment to gain their business.

Keep success simple!  Find your 1-2-3 and work your business in reality, not just in your head.

Do you think golfers would love the game better if there were no challenges?  What would the game look like and how fun would it be to play (and watch) if there weren’t sand traps, lakes and uneven greens to navigate?  Would a PGA champion feel like a champion if predictable and attainable by many?

1. ‘Better’ teachers face the same obstacles of the ‘structure’, yet some shine and empower their students to excel while others just get through the school year because it’s just easier to show up and do what is required, rather than go the extra mile.

1. I think we can all agree it is not easy to lose weight, yet some succeed and others do not.  WHY is that?  When someone decides they are going to be better at making choices of what they put into their body, and decides to be better at consistently working out a couple days a week and they decide they want a better life, they realize it is not easy, it takes effort over time.

Today is November 1st (2011) and we enter into the 11th month of yet another year.  Did it go fast?  Did you keep your New Year’s Resolution?  Do you even remember what it was?

I challenge you to GIVE UP on making resolutions and GET BUSY living on purpose EVERY day while you are here and while you have a chance to do something with your life.

Life’s BIG Questions …

1. What do you stand for?
2. What would you die for?
3. Who do you love?
4. Who loves you?
5. What makes you feel alive?
6. What is your personal mission statement?
7. What are you passionate about?
8. What motivates you?
9. What interests you?
10. What do you want the message of your life to be?

These questions are NOT difficult, but what is difficult is living a life without these questions being answered.
